Namedays and Birthdays Description
With this new version the application has been totally renewed.
Here are the main changes:
• Graphical interface totally renewed in material design style.
• For each day of the month the red dot indicates the presence of a name day while the blue dot of a birthday.
• Possibility to view the corresponding Wikipedia page for each Saint present in the calendar and the search list.
• Possibility for each contact, to set the days to celebrate the name day.
• Resizable widget up to maximum device availability.
PROCEDURE TO FOLLOW IN CASE OF NON RECEPTION OF RECURRENCE NOTIFICATIONS
• Notification settings.
Launch the app, tap the settings icon (gear icon after the title), select Notification settings, and activate Display notifications.
• Auto start settings.
Check that the app is set as automatic start, otherwise the alarms related to recurrence notifications will not be set when the device is restarted.
Open the side menu (by touching the icon before the title with the three horizontal lines) and select the item Set automatic start.
A list of apps will open and for each a side switch that serves to start it automatically when the phone is started.
Look for the Nameday and Birthdays app and set it as Auto Start.
With Namedays and Birthdays you can view the Saint of the day and see who among your contacts phone book is celebrating nameday or birthday.
The application contains a database of over 1600 Saints constantly updated, with correspondences between the English names and the name of the saints (eg San Giuseppe matches with Joseph).
To get an immediate look of the saint's day on the desktop of your device, you can put the widget called Namedays and Birthdays selected from the list of available widgets.
This widget shows today's date, the Saints and the number of events associated to contacts in the phone book. It updates automatically at midnight so as to always display the updated data, even in the case in which the phone always remains switched on.
