8eck games: Next Chess Description
Welcome to Next Chess!
The game takes the principle of the classic chess game and builds on it a modified concept to offer a new gaming experience. It combines tactical thinking from chess with the reward and leveling system of modern games.
The player unlocks new pieces with the stars won. Each piece has its own gait. The gaits are divided into four categories:
Blue: As with the traditional way of playing chess, the piece can move on its blue path and beat the opponent's piece if it is on the blue path. This gait is known to every chess player!
Green: The piece moves on its green path. However, it is unable to hit the opponent's piece on her green path. But it has other strengths!
Yellow: The yellow gait has the function of a ranged attack. If the opponent's piece is on a yellow square of their own piece, the player only needs to tap on the opponent's piece to capture it. Without the own piece having to give up on the occupied yellow field. A tactical challenge!
Purple: It is similar with the purple gait. The own piece must perform a certain move in order to be able to beat the opposing piece with its "Ranged Attack" outside of its purple path. This sounds more complicated than it is in practice!
Each piece has their strengths and weaknesses. Get to know each individual piece over time and develop your own tactics on the chessboard!
