NorEx Description
The NorEx app will enable invited participants of the NorEx study to get individual feedback and science-backed follow-up on physical activity.
NorEx is the world’s largest exercise trial, aiming to find out how long-term exercise affects health and prognosis in persons with a previous heart attack. This app will be used to track and motivate to physical activity, and also enables direct communication between study participants and their personal trainers.
The NorEx study is a collaboration between all health regions and hospitals in Norway, organized by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim. The study includes approximately 13,000 participants from all over Norway. One third of them are randomly assigned to the intervention group. These participants will be given a code that enables them to use the NorEx app after downloading it. At this point, other study participants or people in general will not be able to access the features of the NorEx app after downloading it.
