NukeBlast - Nuclear explosion Description

Want to know the effects of a nuclear explosion on your home town? With this app you can find out how much damage a nuclear weapon would cause. Shows the level of destruction and affected area that would be caused if the bomb was dropped by a ground-level detonation.

This nuclear weapon effects calculator projects the different type of damage over a map so you can easily view the affected area. Also can choose any destination in the world (searching by country or city, also dragging a marker over the map), choose from a list of known nuclear bombs (real and with historical significance) and then simulate the effects.
Dragging the marker over the map allows to dynamically change the location of the center of detonation.

When a nuclear bomb detonates will release several different kinds of energy. For example, the explosive blast, direct nuclear radiation and thermal radiation. The affected area by all these types of energy are represented over the map.

In a real-life scenario, the damaged area caused by nuclear explosions can vary greatly affected by a multitude of factors. These factors includes the weapon’s yield (kilotons or megatons), the type of nuclear fuel used, the design of the device, whether it’s exploded (air or surface), the geography surrounding the target or weather conditions. This app does not assume these factors but shows the scale of destruction that nuclear weapons can cause.

Comments about NukeBlast - Nuclear explosion Android Version

Pretty awesome for what it is. The kilotons for some of the bombs are a smidge inaccurate based on the info I could find. The difference is so small that it is irrelevant anyway lol. HOWEVER, I would give a 5 star if I could place more than one nuke, at least 5. So I can see the spread of multiple nukes being dropped. That having been said this app is pretty darn educational for more than just nukes. I've looked at other countries and learned a fair amount. Like, Japan has a nuke museum!
It's a great app! It really shows how a nuclear explosion can affect a city. I also like how you can experiment by typing in the number of kilotons and setting it someplace on the map, instead of just using real life bombs. The reason why I gave this a 4 star is because it doesn't mention anything about nuclear fallout. Please add this!
Really great app, just please add the final missing official nuke blast missing from your list. After analysis by scientists around the world, the Tunguska explosion in Russia is now considered a nuclear blast as well. Look it up and add the radius as well. Otherwise great app.
