We provide insights into our opera house: fly with the drone, step onto the stage in 360 °, enjoy music and dance right in front of you at the opera house.

How does the app work?
There are several information boards with QR codes around the opera house. Download the OpAR app and scan the information boards at the opera house with your smartphone or tablet. Various contents appear on the screen in augmented reality. Walk through the various information boards and discover the diversity of the opera.

The Deutsche Oper am Rhein provides insights into the opera house and arouses curiosity about dance and music and the content behind the opera house facade. Augmented Reality creates a new approach to art.
What does “Augmented Reality” mean?
“Augmented Reality” means “augmented reality”. With this technology, we can place pictures, videos and other things in real space so that the present and digital content are connected.

technical advice
It is best to download the app before you visit the on-site in Duisburg or Düsseldorf with WLAN at home.
More pictures and the audio track will be downloaded on site, so please make sure that your mobile data volume is sufficient.
This app requires a device that supports AR and an operating system version from Android 9. The official list for Android smartphones that are AR-capable can be found here:
