Dialogues and images will help students to familiarize themselves with the musical themes and atmosphere of the opera. A valuable resource for teachers, parents and music professionals that offers a new, engaging and inclusive method for introducing children to opera and stimulating their interest in music and culture through creativity!
CHARACTERS:
Knowing the characters of an opera is essential to fully appreciate the plot, the music and the scenic interpretation. The characters are the protagonists of the action within an opera. Knowing their personal stories, their goals and their relationships helps to follow and understand the overall plot of the work. Knowing who they are and how they develop over the course of the play allows viewers to connect emotionally to the story.
WHO IS …? (author of the work under study)
The life and times in which an author lived profoundly influence his or her work. Knowing the author provides historical and cultural context that helps you better understand the influences and motivations that drove the creation of the work in question. This is especially important because plots and themes often reflect the period in which they were written.
SING THE OPERA:
Through well-defined STEPs, the student will be led to learn musical pieces, simplifying complex concepts, making the approach easier for those who are not familiar with the musical genre:
STEP 1 - RHYTHMIC READING: execution of the piece by dividing the text into syllables, separating the words in order to highlight their sounds and cadences;
STEP 2 - PIANO WITH GUIDING VOICE: a simple musical base to learn the intonation of the song;
STEP 3 - ORCHESTRA WITH GUIDE VOICE: sing each song with the accompaniment of the orchestra, with a guide voice above that helps to correct the intonation and rhythm;
STEP 4 - ORCHESTRA AND MELODICAL LINE: it's time to try singing by simulating what will happen in the theater! Each piece will be accompanied by a video in which the students will see the hands of the conductor.
They will thus learn the association between gesture and music, in order to be even better prepared for the performance which will then take place live.
CREATIVE RECYCLING:
Section dedicated to the magical world of creative recycling! A way to discover how ingenuity and sustainability come together through the recovery of materials to transform them into extraordinary tools for our show. With a pinch of imagination and a touch of creativity, you can become a real artist, helping to make every element unique and special that will bring magic to life on stage.
All students will learn to sing a song in SIGN LANGUAGE - LIS.
