Pelican Watch Description
The Society for the Protection of Prespa has created the “PelicanWatch” app as part of its work to study pelicans, particularly their diet. Its purpose is to assist interested citizens to contribute scientific data and help answer a critical question: "How effectively do pelicans fish in each of the wetlands where they feed?"
From the data you send us, we hope to understand which wetlands are the most important for pelicans, when and why. In other words, we will see during which time periods and at which locations fish are available for the pelicans to catch. This information will tell us much about the ecological state of the wetlands and will help us to protect pelicans more effectively.
