Pomeroy Forest Trails Description
Produced on behalf of Mid Ulster District Council, the Pomeroy Forest app brings you on a magical journey through woodlands near the village of Pomeroy in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. The app includes two trails for children – the Renardine Nursery Trail and the Renardine Fairytale Trail, while
the Grace Drennan Eco Trail is about the ecological significance of Pomeroy Forest.
Each trail is divided into a series of stops that follow walking routes within the forest, where giant wooden sculptures surprise visitors along the way. These depict characters and scenes from well-known children’s fairytales, like Little Red Riding Hood and Hansel and Gretal. In addition, local myths
and legends associated with Pomeroy and the surrounding area also feature at some of the stops.
Each trail stop includes a multiple-choice quiz question, so you can test your knowledge and check how many rewards you‘ve earned on your journey.
