Protect - Video Safety Description
Built on the power of live video and AI, Protect prevents emergencies before they happen. Protect connects you with family and friends and provides immediate access to a better and faster 911 emergency response.
Emergencies can happen at any time, but with Protect you're never alone. Whether it's a late-night walk or an unfamiliar place, Protect has your back. With Protect, you'll experience a new level of safety and peace of mind.
When you trigger Protect, through the app or by using your own Siri safety phrase, your family and friends get notified immediately utilizing Critical Alerts (overriding phone’s states like Sleep Mode or Do Not Disturb), and can immediately join your protect session.
All video, sound and vital user data are instantly recorded to device memory and securely stored in the cloud for future reference. Safe contacts lean-in live by video and text when you need them most and they will be able to assist you.
If a situation escalates: an immediate “911” safety trigger is at your fingertips. Protect connects directly with 911 dispatch centers closest to you, dramatically speeding up emergency response. Critical data and photos are shared with 911 dispatch and first responders. Instant Photos from the live scene can be manually snapped by any participant within a Protect session. Protect also utilizes AI and scene tagging to improve the information and images shared with 911 to dramatically improve response time. The 911 and Emergency services connection and functionality are available only within the US at this time.
Your safe contacts can dispatch 911 too! Safe contacts can dispatch 911 on your behalf. They get connected with the 911 center closest to you, wherever they are in the world. Better targeted and faster emergency response saves lives.
Protect also empowers you and your protectors to share your real-time location, provide live video updates on your situation, and ensure swift assistance reaches you when you need it most.
We are working on adding more features (already available on the iOS application) and will be releasing the full "Protect Applciation for Android" solution this november.
