Pump sizing allows you to figure out the total head to overcome in a pumping system.
The calculation of pressure, velocity and elevation head requires the following inputs:
-Pressure head: liquid density, suction and discharge pressures
-Velocity head: suction and discharge velocities (the correction factor is taken 1)
-Elevation head: suction and discharge elevations
For pipes losses:
-Flow (total flow for suction pipe and branch flows for discharge branches pipes)
-Diameter
-Friction factor (Input or calculated)
-Length
For fittings losses:
-Flow
-Diameter
-Loss coefficient
