Teixeirinha's trajectory is intertwined with the history of regional music in Brazil.
With this in mind, the Vitor Mateus Teixeira Foundation begins the celebrations of the great artist's 100th birthday. The path begins on March 3, 2024, precisely when the icon would turn 97 years old.
Passed away in 1985, Teixeirinha was immortalized by a rich and enormous collection of songs, records and films. He won over fans in Brazil and around the world with works that will be remembered over the next three years on a set of platforms and content created now in the 100 ANOS DE TEIXEIRINHA project.
“Every day we are approached by people from all over to find out more about the history and the entire collection of compositions and film productions.
We want to strengthen people's connection with it. Until 2027, the centenary will be celebrated in the way that the father always deserved and liked: alongside his fans”, reinforces Márcia Teixeira, daughter of the artist and president of the Foundation.
