Race for the Galaxy is a strategy boardgame where players advance their empire by playing cards to build technological developments or to settle planets. Its core mechanic is a phase choosing game. Players secretly and simultaneously determine which one of seven phases they will lock in, all reveal at once, then execute the phases in order. Will you build an engine to ramp up VP generation on cheapo production planets? Will you invest in exploration and settle rare and valuable VP rich planets? Or will you rush a military conquest to cut off your opponents before they have a chance to develop their strategy.

It really, really needs notifications when it is waiting for you to do your turn. I have had at least two games just stop for running out of time because other players had not played. The UI is poor - on my pad, to touch something I must touch above the item. Like many here, I love the game - it emulates the card game very well, and the AI is very good, so please sort these problems out. It is not fair to charge so much, and then move on to doing other games without fixing this one. Finally, would it be possible to have this linked so that I can get it on Steam for my PC without having to pay twice?

Implementation of the card game is generally briliant. Game flow works well, great that you can always have a counter on opponents VPs. AI is challenging in hard mode. Only issue I have is that whenever I play a real person, the app suddenly crashes for no apparent reason. Very frustrating as those games are then gone and can never be re-started. Some guide for troubleshooting, FAQ or a way of contacting someone for help would be nice. Feel as though I've been left holding the bag with this one.

So far it is a solid implementation, but it lacks some of the functionality of the desktop (Steam) version. Specifically, It does not highlight cards that require action from the player. For example, in the desktop version, when certain cards are eligible for being played, discarded, or various other actions, the desktop version will surround them with a glowing highlight. Without this, it is not always obvious which cards need action. This is confusing, especially for new players.
