The Radio Illimani station, also known as Red Patria Nueva, is the official station of the Bolivian State that provides a public service to the most remote regions of the country.
Its transmissions began on July 15, 1933, in the midst of the Chaco War. Starting in 2015, the station reorganized its programming to offer a signal 24 hours a day to the population. Simón Iturri Patiño, who also introduced the first radio station in Bolivia during the time of the Chaco War, was the founder of this station.
