Radioaktiv Description
Radioaktiv shows over 1700 measuring points from the ODL measuring network of the Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS) in an interactive map. The measured radiation values can be related to and blended with other map elements such as nuclear power plants and repository projects. A 14-day review allows conclusions to be drawn about the development of radiation values.
With the optional access to the location, different distances can be calculated and displayed.
Advantages of the radioactive app:
1. Official measurement data: The measurement data used are provided directly by the Federal Office for Radiation Protection.
2. Combined measured value information: Each map element provides information about the radiation values in the immediate vicinity
3. My position: Each map element provides information about how far away it is from your own position.
Functions of the radioactive app:
MAP ELEMENTS
Various elements are visible in the map display, which can be shown and hidden via the settings. In addition to the measuring points, you can see e.g. nuclear power plants and various information about them. Tapping the coordinates will open the default map app at that location.
MEASUREMENT INTERPRETATION
The function of intersecting the measured values with the map elements offers enormous added value. For example, it is possible to view radiation values in the vicinity of a nuclear waste repository or a nuclear power plant and to monitor developments. By tapping on an adjacent measuring point, you get to the detailed view of the selected measuring point.
DATA UPDATE
If desired, the measured values can be updated automatically and by an official body. The data are rounded to an accuracy of 1km. The timeliness of the data is 1 hour. In the detailed view, a review of the past 14 days is possible.
