Raining Cats & Dogs Description
Cats and dogs are falling onto a field inside a stadium. The field moves like a conveyor belt toward a wall of death. You must keep moving or you will crash into that wall and die. When cats and dogs land on the field, they walk toward the wall. Try to save as many cats and dogs as you can before the level timer expires. Pick up the animals before they hit the wall and carry them to a pen where they will be safer. Pens exist on each side of the playing field, and they move back and forth with you, so you don't have as far to travel.
Oh, and mines are dropping from the sky. They explode at random intervals and destroy everything within 3.5 meters. Try to avoid these mines and rescue as many cats and dogs as you can. If you are unfortunate and pick up a mine, carry it to one of the pens and drop it. If you are lucky, you may escape before it explodes. But you may kill some of your rescued animals.
The game has ten levels. The first level starts at 30 seconds. Subsequent levels increase by 15 second intervals giving you more time to save cats and dogs. Be warned that the field speed increases 10% for each level as well. So, cats and dogs are moving faster toward the wall of death. And so are you. The last few levels can be quite a challenge with lots of animals, gems and mines falling from the sky while you race to survive.
You start with two lives. But you can earn Cat and Dog Lovers Achievements that add extra lives. And a health box falls out of the sky randomly which adds a life.
You can add levels by earning Humanitarian Achievements. Up to three levels can be added to the end of the game, but you must live past the tenth level to play them. These levels have 30 second, 45 second and 60 second intervals respectively.
Collect coins and gems to earn XP. Gems are worth 10 coins. Accumulate XP to earn shields, which make you invulnerable to the mines. Shield only last one explosion, but you can earn 1, 2, and 3 shields depending on how much XP you accumulate.
Your scores are accumulated and saved in memory. You can quit the game and return later to resume at the beginning of the level at which you stopped. Or you can start a New Game and erase your current progress.
