Rasathane Description
In the Observatory mobile application, seismic events solved by Boğaziçi University Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute Regional Earthquake Tsunami Monitoring and Evaluation Center (BDTİM) are published. Events with a depth of 0 (zero) kilometers indicate man-made artificial explosions in a quarry, mine or construction site.
Main features of the application;
*Notification of earthquakes in Turkey and its immediate surroundings
- Option to receive all earthquakes as notifications
- Option to receive 2.5 and higher earthquakes as notifications
- Option to receive 4.0 and higher earthquakes as notifications
- Option to turn off notifications
* Option to list earthquakes by duration
- last 24 hours
- last 7 days
- last 30 days
* Option to search earthquakes and sort them by size
* Option to view earthquakes on map
* Option to display earthquakes of magnitude 4.0 and greater that have occurred in Turkey and its surroundings since 1900, according to your location on the map
* Google street, Atlas Temel and Atlas orthophoto option for map
* Survey option for earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 and above
* Ability to determine the distance of your location from the earthquake for all earthquakes
