RD Map+ Description
RD Map™+ is the Map&Share™ app which gathers survey grade measurements automatically to create maps of buried utility maps in real time(1).
Map It Your Way with this simple-to-use app. RD Map+ is designed to work with Radiodetection’s Bluetooth Precision Locators (2) and allows the user to create detailed maps of the utility being located. Every time a survey measurement is taken using a paired locator, it is automatically added to a map. Utility paths and icons are color coded, using standard utility colors, compliant with American Public Works Association.
RD Map+ is powered by Google Maps™ mapping technology, allowing common gestures to change map type, pan, rotate or zoom the map. Distance measure and radius tools provide an easy way to validate the accuracy of the measurements’ position and enables manual correction of any position offset.
RD Map+ is designed to work with a Trimble® Catalyst™ DA2 GNSS receiver to obtain Survey Grade position measurements. It can also be used with other manufacturers’ compatible GNSS receivers.
Utility maps files can be shared using any compatible application.
Access to Support, FAQs, Operation Manuals, How To videos and much more is available on the Radiodetection RD Map+ Support Portal.
RD Map+ minimum device requirements are available here. While RD Map+ may run on devices not meeting the specified minimum requirements, its operation is not recommended and not supported.
RD Map+ requires Android 11 or higher, data connectivity and Google Maps.
