Seguridad de prensas "viejas" Description
The Safety of "old" presses application allows checking the degree of compliance with the relevant provisions of Annex I of Royal Decree 1215/1997 by "old" eccentric mechanical presses (prior to 1995 without CE marking) for cold metal working of manual loading and unloading.
It begins with a section identifying the press in question. Next, the questions related to the 19 provisions of Section I of Annex I of Royal Decree 1215/1997 are formulated.
The questionnaire contains 125 questions, which does not imply that all of them have to be answered (for example: the press lacks a certain element that is required in all cases and does not delve further into the question; the press, among different possibilities, does not has a certain element and therefore there is no place to ask further questions about its status, etc.).
In the case of provisions not applicable (N.A.) to presses (for example, hot or cold surfaces, fire, explosion, etc.) the provision is presented informing that it is not applicable and in some cases a brief observation.
The 19 provisions have been divided into 29 sections with the following structure:
1.1. Drive bodies
1.2. Control systems and safety functions
2. Commissioning
3. Stop
4. Projections and falling objects
5. Emanations of gases, vapors and liquids or emission of dust (N.A.)
6. Stability, access and permanence in elevated parts
7. Bursts and breaks
8.1. Mobile work and energy transmission elements
8.2. Two-hand control
8.3. Light curtain
8.4. Mobile front guard interlocked
8.5. Interlocked mobile supplementary guards
8.6. Fixed supplementary guards
8.7. Setting
8.8. Two-hand control adjustment
8.9. Pulse control adjustment
8.10. Sensitive and low speed control adjustment
9. Lighting
10. Hot and cold surfaces (N.A.)
11. Alarm devices
12. Separation of energy sources
13. Signaling
14. Fire (N.A.)
15. Explosion (N.A)
16. Electrical hazard
17. Noise and vibrations
18. Corrosive liquids and / or at high temperature (N.A.)
19. Hand tools (N.A.)
Once the questionnaire has been completed, the number of correct and incorrect responses is indicated and a report of deficiencies detected is generated with possible consultation information.
