Shanghai Description
Shanghai is a solitaire game using Mahjongg tiles. The object of the game is to remove all the tiles. Remove tiles by touching matching open tiles. Like the card game of solitaire, you might not be able to win.
The tiles are stacked on top of each other. Matching tiles are only removable if they are "open". A tile is open if it has no tile to the right or left or on top.
Tiles match if they are the same or if they are part of a group. Groups are the Seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) or Flowers (Plum, Iris, Bamboo, Chrysanthemum). Matching tiles are in sets of four.
In addition to the Seasons and Flowers groups, sets include Winds, Dragons, Bamboo, Coins or Dots, and Faces or Characters.
This game was inspired by PLATO Mah-Jongg by Brodie Lockard.
