Simple Class RUM Description
Application created for students of the UPRM so they can easily search and see all the courses being offered in the semester without the need to use PuTTY, Terminal, ConnectBot or any other complicated software.
When UPRM students have to look for classes to enroll in the next semester the system in current use is cumbersome and outdated which makes the process of selecting classes a lot harder than it has to be. This application intends to make this process a lot faster, easier, and hassle free for the student. The student only has to enter the classes they need and the application will retrieve the information from the servers and display it to the student in an easy to understand format.
The student will also have the ability to save the classes that were searched locally on the device and they will be quickly available the next time the student needs the information. Providing the ability to save classes locally has the advantage of lowering traffic on the server due to the information already being saved on the device with no need of access to the servers which are sensitive to heavy traffic load.
When searching for classes the application will request the data, save it to the device memory and efficiently log out of the server to prevent too many users sessions at the same time causing slowdown on the server.
