I have been using ski tracks for 5 consecutive years and compared it to various other apps. It is by far my favourite. It might not have the look and feel of others, but it is super stable, never fails, never misses to identify a slope. It tracks accurately (still trying to figure out how accurate GPS speed is in mountains). Doesn't drain the battery too much. Turn it on in the morning, off at the end of day (I pause it during lunch). Endless statistics available on every single track...

This app has worked well for me. It's been nice to be able to keep track of my skiing for the last 4 years. I do ski pretty fast but I do question if my maximum speeds are as high as it tells me. Only improvement I would love to see is to have it pause and restart automatically when I go inside for a break. It stops when it loses satellite when I go inside but doesn't start again when I go back out. I often don't remember to restart until part way down the hill.

It's a great app and I use it every time I hit the slopes or head into the backcountry. The "Max Speed" readout will end up being the death of me since I constantly try to set a new record. The only glitch I've found is that the edits to tracks in history where you add a name, rating, snow conditions, etc. tend to get lost. I love all the data collected, mapping, and individual run stats.
