Smart Dashcam Pro uses the motion sensors on your device and is constantly monitoring for any sudden movement. When triggered, it records the critical seconds BEFORE and AFTER the event. For eg, if you are recording 10 second clips, it will attempt to record video from 5 seconds before to 5 seconds after the event. You will be able to capture a lot of context even with short clips when it is centered around the event you want to capture.

You can also easily view or share these clips on Youtube/Facebook from right within the app! The short clips are ideal for sharing on social media. No more video editing to cut out a small clip you are interested in from hours of dashcam footage.
Want to capture longer videos? You can record video clips upto 60 seconds. Clips larger than 20 seconds will require you to enable buffer compression and will need a reasonably fast processor. Take a look at the help section in the app to tailor the settings to your phone's capabilities.
