SOSpect Description
SOSpect aims to allow the community to alert and receive alerts of dangers in a user's location, in order to avoid risks for them and their loved ones. Users' location is not shared or tracked, ensuring your privacy. Users can place hazard alerts to help others avoid falling victim to risky situations.
These alerts are completely free. Users become stronger if they invite their communities to download the application to take care of each other against crime. In fact, users can especially strengthen their children's teachers so that they can prevent situations that could put students at risk in time and so that the entire nearby community is alerted and immediate preventive measures are taken.
The app needs to know the most recent location of the user so that it can alert them if someone places a danger alert near their location. However, the user's location is private and only the points on the map where the alerts are placed are shared.
With SOSpect, the community can come together to reduce crime and avoid risky situations, alerting others to stay safe too. In addition, users can also alert about missing people or pets, fights, domestic violence and riots.
With an in-app subscription, the user can expand the radius of their alert circle, monitor alerts that are placed in areas of interest outside of that radius, or even monitor alerts that are placed by people who are important to them, such as the family, and that they previously approve this monitoring. This application does not allow monitoring of the location of any user, only of the alerts that are placed. The alerts are anonymous to guarantee the safety of the users, so only textual descriptions without photos are allowed in the alerts that are placed to avoid affecting the image and good name of the people.
