Stalker Anomalous Zone Description
The action takes place in the Zone, an alternative version of the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant After the accident, laboratories were created in the Exclusion Zone that allowed scientists to experiment with psychic abilities. Their experiments led to a second catastrophe that caused physical and meteorological phenomena throughout the Zone, as well as mutations of flora and fauna. The zone is replete with anomalies - inexplicable phenomena that do not fit into the framework of physics, and sometimes even the usual logic.
