Super Minders Description
11 tasks that practice quantity understanding, geometry, sorting and the connection between numbers and quantity and concepts that are central to mathematical understanding and mastery of life.
The game is suitable for children and adults who need extra practice on quantity understanding, geometry, sorting and the connection between numbers and quantity and spatial understanding. The game has been developed on behalf of the Directorate of Education in Norway.
Super Minders is a digital tool where game technology is used for overlearning. The tool has been developed in collaboration with a neuropsychologist and is based on how the brain works and learns. We have particularly taken as a starting point the target group's need for repetition of the connection between numbers and quantities as well as geometric shapes and sorting. These are areas that are very important within basic mathematical understanding and coping with life.
The tool has soothing sounds from nature to promote concentration.
Practice the 11 different tasks
- Connection between number and quantity. Here, quantity and numbers will be linked together with digital concrete figures. The shape and size of the digital concretes are constant throughout the tool.
- Sorting numbers from least to most and vice versa. Here, the same digital concrete is used to sort quantities and numbers.
- Find different ways to divide a quantity. For example, there are different ways to divide 10.
- Find geometric shapes hidden in an image.
- Sort geometric shapes by size, shape or color
- Visual spatial understanding. Here you have to follow a fish through a tube, and find the tube it swims out of.
- Practice concepts. Concepts are important in basic understanding and coping with everyday life. Here we practice second largest, second smallest, largest, front, back, right, left and medium.
