Sweat Free Description
Who are we? We (Sweat Free Apparel) are an immigrant owned & carbon neutral startup based out of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. We make technical textiles. You may have seen us on CTV News, Financial Post, Waterloo Record, etc. We are still very tiny, so we feel very lucky to be connected to Communitech, Metrolinx, and the University of Waterloo.
What do we believe? We believe that our clothes must do more for us than just cover us.
Why do we believe what we believe? The invention of polyester in 1941 was the single biggest breakthrough in the apparel industry in the last 100 years.
Anything since that? Nothing. Nada. Zero. Zilch.
What does that mean for you? It means that the technology in the clothes you wear is the exact same as it was in the clothes your grandparents wore, and will be the exact same in the clothes your grandchildren and their grandchildren will wear.
Is that acceptable? Nooo! We believe that you deserve more!
How do we make your clothes do more? We first identify the problems your clothes are not solving for you. Then we create technical textiles to solve them. For the techies out there, we use advanced material science, multi-layered surface treatments and nano-fabrication. For the non-techies out there, don't sweat it! It's our job to know the tech. You just sit back and enjoy what we create for you :)
