General notes.
TacTickle game is also called TicTackle with spelling variations.
Also, there exist (not here) versions 4x5 and with a hexagonal board.
Rules are as follows.
I. There are four black (crosses) pieces
and four white (zeroes) pieces
placed alternately on two opposite sides.
II. The black pieces start the game.
III. A piece can move one square (one step) at a time
horizontally or vertically
(but not diagonally).
IV. The game ends when one player aligns three of his pieces
horizontally, vertically or diagonally. It means this player wins.
Interface
Set up a new game:
I. Choose with whom to play using the first radio button menu.
• If you play with a game rival nearby and you will play
on the same device then choose the first option in the radio button menu.
• The second option allows you to play with the computer.
• Only in the extended version of the game the option of playing with
a human rival via the Internet is present.
II. Choose who shall move first using the second radio button menu.
• The third option of it allows random choice of the first player.
III. Now press the "Start" button to start a game.
Settings
Press "Settings" button to open the game settings.
I. The first item allows to choose an algorithm computer uses
to calculate move. In the basic version both options have the same effect.
II. The "Complexity" option influences search depth of the algorithm.
Depth more than 4 is available in the extended version of the game only.
III. You may save the current setting and load the settings
saved previously using buttons "Save" and "Get the saved.
Strategy
It is not very difficult to perform
analysis of all possible cases manually.
