Talqin Description
According to the term talqin, this has two meanings, which is to teach the person who is going to die the word of tawhid, namely Laa ilaaha illallah.
In Malaysia, Muslims usually adhere to the Syafie sect. So the practice of talqin is certainly no stranger to them. The Maliki sect also requires the practice of talqin. Imam al-Qurtubi, the author of the book al-Tazkirah Bil Ahwal al-Mauta Wa al-Akhirah has explained the practice of talqin performed by Islamic scholars in Qurtubah and they require it.
In the Hanbali school, talqin is circumcised the same as the Syafie school. See Imam Mansur Bin Yusuf Al-Buhuti's statement in his book al-Raud al-Mari' about this.
Imam al-Mardawi from this sect in his book entitled al-Insaf Fi Ma'rifat al-Rajih Min al-Khilaf also supports the circumcision of talqin reading.
