The station was founded in 1989 thanks to the great will of Monsignor Michele Placido Giordano who had just arrived in Mistretta as Archpriest of the Santa Lucia parish.

The station obtained a regular license to broadcast during the period of great reform of the radio-television system introduced with the "Mammì" law and is carried out by volunteers.

Today Telemistretta represents an irreplaceable means for the dissemination of information on events that occur in our reference area
