The Communal First Saturdays Devotional Description
This App makes it easier for the faithful to fulfill all four practices of the First Saturdays Devotion requested by Our Lady of Fatima, in reparation to her Immaculate Heart. Also, the order of the devotion in this App is arranged in such a way that in following it, the faithful can be more disposed to receive Jesus in the Holy Eucharist and can also benefit from His continued presence within themselves after Mass.
The App provides a guide for Confession as well as introductory prayers before the Rosary. These prayers include the intentions, Fatima Prayers, Acts of Consecration and Reparation to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, and a special prayer to St. Joseph. These prayers support fulfilling the entire Fatima Message. The Rosary before Mass includes reflections on the Immaculate Heart of Mary along with Scripture verses before each decade; the latter recommended by St. John Paul II. Color images for each Mystery are included. Next, there are prayers to help you make a Communion of Reparation. After Mass, the faithful are encouraged to fulfill the 4 th practice of the First Saturdays, the separate, additional Meditation on the Mysteries of the Rosary in Our Lady’s company, in reparation to her Immaculate Heart. To facilitate this, the App includes preselected Scripture Meditations on the Mysteries of the Rosary for each month of the year to harmonize with the liturgical cycle. The meditation is done in a form of lectio divina, highly recommended by the Catechism of the Catholic Church and Pope Benedict XVI in the document “Verbum Domini.”
As additional gifts for Our Lord and Our Lady, the App has concluding prayers, which include the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary and prayers for the Holy Father to obtain any possible indulgences.
