Tool in the Cockpit Description
Are you a helicopter pilot looking for an indispensable companion in the cockpit? Look no further! This innovative mobile app is designed to cater to the unique needs of helicopter pilots, offering a suite of tools and features that make your flying experience safer, more efficient, and hassle-free.
Warning Light Quick Reference:
One of the core features of our app is the Warning Light Quick Reference. When you're in the air, the last thing you want is to be caught off guard by a warning light. With our app, you have instant access to information on what to do when each warning light comes on. This quick reference can be a lifesaver in critical situations, providing guidance and ensuring you make the right decisions swiftly.
Weight and Balance Calculator:
The Weight and Balance calculator is simple and easy to use. Edit the aircraft setup with your aircraft configuration (you can add/delete/edit flight stations and Aux fuel tanks) and save configurations for future use. Fuel inputs can be done in between percentage / weight / volume (% / kg / L). Red warnings will show up if you exceed any station limit (e.g. seat limit), MAUW or helicopter C of G is out of limits with take off weight or zero fuel weight. H125 includes sling at the tap of a button. You can also quickly generate and print out weight and balance reports for your records.
Performance Charts (Hover Out of Ground Effect Charts):
Currently the performance charts only includes the hover out of ground effect chart for each helicopter. Use sliders to input altitude and temp and let the app tell you your max weight (and show you on the chart). You can also input max weight and temp and get max altitude for HOGE.
MEL Reference:
The Minimum Equipment List (MEL) is a fundamental resource for helicopter pilots. Get easy access to MEL information. Having this reference at your fingertips can save you time and reduce the risk of non-compliance.
TAF and METAR Reports:
Weather info is easy to find. This is not designed to be the best weather app out there, but rather to be a 10 second solution to getting METAR & TAF reports for multiple airports and printing them.
Pilot-Specific Conversions:
Our app goes the extra mile to provide pilots with a range of conversions that are particularly useful in aviation. From GPS coordinates conversion to other pilot-specific units, we've got you covered. These handy tools can save you time and ensure accuracy in your calculations.
Ferry Planning with Nav Logs:
Planning a long ferry and not sure where to refuel. Check out the ferry planning page. While not as comprehensive and most (expensive) aviation mapping apps, this will auto generate a route with a Nav Log that you can edit on the map.
Supports R22 and H125 (with More Helicopters Coming Soon):
Currently, our app supports R22 and H125, and we are committed to adding more helicopter models in the future.
Quick and Easy Printing:
We understand that efficiency is crucial in the cockpit. Our app allows you to quickly and easily print weight and balance calculations, weather reports, and navigation logs. Whether you need physical copies for documentation or want to share information with others, our app simplifies the printing process.
In summary, our mobile app is a comprehensive and indispensable tool for helicopter pilots. It caters to your specific needs, offering a range of features that enhance safety, efficiency, and convenience in your aviation endeavours. Whether you fly an R22, H125, or other helicopter models, our commitment to expanding support ensures that our app remains your go-to resource. Stay ahead of the game with our warning light quick reference, weight and balance calculator, performance charts, MEL reference, weather reports, pilot-specific conversions, route calculator, and quick printing capabilities. Elevate your piloting experience with our all-in-one app, and take your helicopter operations to new heights.
