Transit EMV Checker Description
This application emulates a transit validator in acceptance of a contactless EMV card, mobile wallet or app, or wearable, and generates a 'Transit Capabilities' report which is intended to identify any technical impediments preventing acceptance of that media offline for payment in a transit system.
The primary account number of the cEMV media and other PCI sensitive data are masked as required by PCI so that the app can be used by employees of an organization bound by the constraints of PCI-DSS revision 4.0 or later.
The app also captures a detailed technical log of data exchanged between the media and the terminal which can be forwarded to a subject matter expert at another location if the 'Transit Capabilities' report does not provide enough information to satisfy the customer service enquiry.
Expected users for this application are:
+ Customer service employees of a transit operator, authority or retail agent;
+ Subject matter experts involved in the development, delivery and support of a contactless transit payment solution.
