U.N.D.E.F. Description
(UNDEF) is a federation of associations in which most of the towns that celebrate Moors and Christians festivals in the Valencian variant are integrated. It was created in 1976, as a consequence of one of the conclusions of the I National Congress of the Moors and Christians Festival, held in Villena in 1974, and is currently made up of more than seventy towns belonging to six Spanish provinces (Alicante, Valencia, Murcia, Albacete, Toledo and Lleida) and three Autonomous Communities (Valencian Community, Region of Murcia, Castilla - La Mancha and Catalonia). Its main purposes are the solution of the problems that arise in the Moors and Christians festivities, the promotion of the same and the promotion of the relationship and brotherhood between the localities that celebrate them. Its headquarters are in Beneixama (Alicante), at C/ Finlandia, nº 8, and it has two sub-offices in Murcia and Altea.
