Valence - Learn about Chemical Description
Valence is an educational arcade classic that intends to introduce amateur chemists to the world of chemistry through chemical bonding and formation of ionic compounds.
The game is in the form of a classical bubble shooter, that is, the object is to clear the rows of ions by forming ionic compounds through their knowledge of valencies and chemical bonding. The larger and more the compounds formed, the more the points scored. But beware, mistakes means severe deduction in points!
The game ends when the player exceeds the time limit of five minutes, or when the player clears all the rows. Like in a classical bubble shooter, the game can also end if the player goes on building multiple rows without forming any compound as soon as the rows go beyond the shooter.
4 different powerups, that are reactivated 1 hour after they are used, are provided. But choose wisely; each powerup can be used only once in a game!
At the end of the game, some information is provided about the properties of the compounds you formed as well.
There are two game modes: *Classic* where valencies of the ions are shown to aid beginners, and *challenge*, where the valencies are hidden, and must be unlocked after completing classic mode.
Can you complete this challenge, and win the game? Beat the developer's highscore of 1150900!
