Vegas United SC Description
At Vegas United we have a positive, but competitive culture. We call our culture #VUp (like V-Up).
Our slogan is “fun, passion, fearless”. The Golden State Warriors head coach, Steve Kerr, is quoted as saying, “I played my best when I was having fun!”
The game at the pro level is 90% mental. We believe that to be true at the youth level too. This is why we take fun serious! We want our players to have fun, play with passion and be fearless! If a player makes a mistake we yell “No Big Deal” in an effort to encourage them not to be scared to mess up.
We even have a club hand shake called the #VUp Bump! The way it works is you give someone a fist pump and then throw up the #VUp hand symbol. Story of How #VUp Came to Life in the summer of 2018 our Executive Director dreamed up this idea of #VUp. That August, during team camps, with the help of our coaches we took an idea for a dream soccer club culture and brought it to life.
