Vintage Master Mind Description
In this game you will have to decipher the secret code based on a sequence of colors chosen by the application.
For each attempt you will have to drag the chosen colors into the appropriate placeholders to complete your code and you will receive a response in terms of black and white pegs that will tell you how many colors have been guessed and then proceed with the next attempt trying to use the least number of attempts you can. Below you will find the complete rules.
This game was marketed in the 70s and has sold millions of copies worldwide. The intent of this application is to provide the same gaming experience as the board game in the version of those times by reproducing the same graphics.
It is therefore deliberately presented in a vintage style, but still has advanced features that are difficult to find in similar applications such as "Copilot", "Best Code" and "Info" which will be described later.
How to play:
The secret code is made up of four colored pegs kept hidden by a cover of the game board.
For each of your attempts, the application will place Black and White Key Pegs corresponding to these rules:
As many black pegs as there are colors of the attempt Code that are present in the Secret Code and that are also in the right position.
As many white pegs as there are colors present in the Secret Code but that are in the wrong position.
No Key Peg for the colors of the attempt code that are not present in the Secret Code
Advanced features:
Copilot: guides you in choosing an attempt that can be the secret code.
Best Code: the application algorithm generates the best code intended as the code that if it is not lucky enough to guess the secret code, increases the probability of guessing it on the next attempt. Useful to compare with your own choices.
Info: it provides information on the probability that you have of guessing the secret code with the current attempt
