So far it has worked great. It was worth it for me to pay for the unlocked version. The UI is well designed an intuitive, and has functioned perfectly. It's the final step I've needed to make a complete standalone media player. Thank you! Update 14 Oct 2020: Very happy with this app after using it for some time. Haven't run into a single problem. I wish more apps were this elegantly simple. I was looking for an app to control VLC on my media PC and that's exactly what this does, and it does it better than I ever could have imagined! Being able to browse my media from my phone is a really great feature. This app is almost perfect! The one and only feature I would like to see if the ability to change the color scheme since I've never been a big fan of VLC orange. Worth every penny and I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

Great app wether you have the free version or paid. Most of what I watch for TV is on my computer and played through VLC. Tried other programs to use as a remote but they didn't work well or at all. Then I found this app, why didn't I type in vlc remote sooner. The free version is good but the paid version is well worth the cost if you use it as much as I do. Simple quick setup makes it even better. I give it 10 stars but Google will only let me give 5.
