Wall Focus - Minimalistic fun Description
We have built Wall Focus with care so that both you and your mother, father or sister can enjoy a healthy playthrough: You’ll win on some levels and lose on others. Success comes and goes, better get used to it.
Wall Focus is a casual minimalistic arcade 3d game where a ball shoots quick smaller balls to destroy approaching walls. It’s fun, we promise.
You have to be mindful of the edges of the screen and react quickly if you want to beat our personal record. Good luck and have fun!
The following features are included:
• Short levels - you have to complete three health points on each to win ✨
• Shields and health power-ups will protect the player aka you 🛡️
• Dozens of clean colour palettes that keep your eyes entertained (there are actually 8 palettes, but there will be dozens soon we also promise this) 🤞
• An endless aka infinite challenging mode where you can try to beat our record. Let us know if you do so so that we can make it harder 🛠️
• Adaptative difficulty so that you can always feel that you are good 🙌
• A bug I haven’t been able to solve no matter how many code refactors I do. Every once in a while a wall unexpectedly falls by itself. This bug should make the levels a bit easier so I’ve decided it’s a feature. I suspect it’s Unity’s fault but honestly, it’s probably my lack of collision programming knowledge 🐛
• You can call the projectiles ‘bullets’ if you are more into shooters. There’s a power-up that makes you have bigger bullets (balls) 🪺
• Cool geometric aesthetics. At least that’s what I like to think. I’m not a designer so I went for the easy play ➡️
• ‘Realistic’ (lol) physics animations: when you hit a wall it falls vertically, particles explode, your phone vibrates (haptics) and a free sound is played. Amazing 🎄
• A distraction capability as an additional challenge: Put your hand on top of the screen so that whoever is playing can’t see 🦮
• You can play offline. In this case, we won’t earn money from the ads so please purchase something (this will apply once we have ads and purchases - for now please leave a good review. Thanks!) 🤝
• Play from the toilet with one hand. The app only works in portrait so you can take advantage of that 🤳
• There’s no ‘we’ behind this game - this is just ‘me’ but we hope you like the experience ❣️
To be added in future updates:
• A ‘restart saved data' button so that you play again from the beginning if you ever feel bored. You will lose your record though! 🔁
• Save the last colour palette so that you don’t have to see the same colours over and over again whenever you play 🏆
• Additional stuff that is cooler but also difficult to build. I don’t want to over-commit. Play 7 levels, ask 6 people to play and I will add 5 new things❗
Length: That’s up to you. If you are good it will be short and simple to beat a hundred levels + our record. That’d be good, you could then go back to your life! It will be more challenging if you are not that pro.
Final note: Indie hypercasual games exist. Sometimes the budget is low but people still love to share a few gameplay moments with those around them. The minimalistic approach helps. I hope you enjoy your playthrough as much as I have enjoyed building Wall Focus.
