The World English Bible (WEB) version is a modern English translation of the Bible that is in the public domain (no copyright). It is based on the American Standard Version of the Holy Bible first published in 1901, the Biblia Hebraica Stutgartensa Old Testament, and the Greek Majority Text New Testament.
In addition, the user interface has been designed to be able to access each of the books of the Bible easily, and then choose the chapter and verses with just a couple of clicks.
The 66 books of the Bible are traditionally divided into the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament contains 39 books and is further divided into four main sections: the Pentateuch (also known as the Torah or Law), the Historical Books, the Wisdom Books, and the Prophets. The New Testament contains 27 books and is divided into four sections: the Gospels, the Acts of the Apostles, the Epistles (or Letters), and the Book of Revelation.
