World Wise Description
Do your children spend too much screen time on games that are not beneficial to their education?
Introducing the World Wise App
An exciting and competitive two-part game that combines answering curriculum-based questions whilst racing through countries.
Race on your own, or challenge your friends!
Revise what you’ve studied in class, or learn new things!
A student using the World Wise app has the opportunity to race against their peers while improving school results, learning valuable facts from different subjects that they’re studying in class, or reinforcing and revising what they may already know.
The game consists of:
- Short multiple-choice questions to help improve academic results.
- These questions are rotated evenly between the different areas of the school curriculum.
- Maths. Science. English. History. Geography. And so much more!
- The varied questions cater to specific students’ strengths and weaknesses.
- The player passes through States, Territories and Provinces as they race. Learning where capital cities, major landmarks and famous sites are located all around the world.
The questions are:
- Ideal for all levels of learning regardless of age with no fear of discrimination as academic points and levels are not disclosed.
- Not just random! The questions in the app are 100% based on topics and areas of study in the Australian school curriculum. Players will be learning things that apply to what they are studying that year in school.
Racers accumulate points for:
- Completing the checkpoint faster than their peers!
- Avoiding fines and penalties.
- Collecting tokens during the checkpoint.
- The faster the speed the user is travelling, the more points the tokens are worth.
- Obeying simple road rules such as speed limits, traffic lights.
- Answering questions correctly.
A leader board exists to compare players position:
- For comparison of each checkpoint against friends or Australia wide.
- As well as leader boards for the fastest times and highest points!
- Students will want to keep playing to beat their friends!
At the end of a checkpoint:
- A Spinning Wheel will appear to players if they can recall the landmarks they passed, giving them a chance to win some coins to upgrade their cars!
The user can choose to answer additional questions with a Hot Round:
- For revision and/or accumulating more points for upgrades.
Why would students want to play WorldWise?
- It’s not only educational but exciting and fun to play!
- They can invite their friends to a dual player challenge!
- They can upgrade to faster speeds and cooler cars to achieve a higher ranking.
Students can play:
- In the car, train, bus or waiting for siblings to finish activities.
- Play solo or challenging friends.
Balance is imperative in our children's lives so if we can incorporate some revision into their screen time it could potentially free up more family and outdoor activity time.
World Wise app – providing information and education through entertainment.
