WPS WiFi Tester Pro Description
This application assesses the security of your network by utilizing the WPS protocol.
The WPS protocol facilitates the connection to a WiFi network through an 8-digit pin, typically predefined in the router. However, a prevalent issue is that the pins for many routers across different companies are either known or can be calculated. The app employs these pins to attempt connections and evaluates the network's vulnerability. It incorporates various established algorithms for pin generation and includes default pins. Additionally, the app calculates default keys for certain routers, enables the viewing of WiFi passwords stored on the device, scans connected devices on the network, and analyzes WiFi channel quality.
Using the app is straightforward. While scanning nearby networks, those marked with a red cross are considered "secure" as they have deactivated the WPS protocol, and their default password is unknown.Networks with a question mark have the WPS protocol enabled, but the pin is unknown. In such cases, the application allows testing common pins.
Lastly, networks marked with a green tick are likely vulnerable, featuring an enabled WPS protocol with a known connection pin. It's also possible for the router to have WPS disabled, but the password is known, in which case it appears in green, and connection is possible with the key.
Root user access is required to view passwords and connect on Android 9/10, along with some additional functions Important Notice: Not all networks are vulnerable, and the appearance of a network as such doesn't guarantee 100% vulnerability. Many companies have updated their router firmware to rectify the issue. If your network is vulnerable, take corrective action by turning off WPS and changing the password to a strong, personalized one.
