Y - Life Description
The Y is a place where you can keep your thoughts - ideas, secrets, unspoken words - and anything else you want to pass on to the world.
In the event of your passing, your notes will be published publicly and/or sent to people of your choice.
How the app works:
- Creating notes:
You create entries for a shared feed and/or personalized messages. These entries are saved as drafts and are not available to other users until they are published.
- Setting an inactivity timer:
The main feature of the app is an “inactivity timer” that counts down from the last time you logged into the app. You choose how much time must pass (e.g. 15, 30, 60 or 90 days) before your entries are published after your last login.
- Activity monitoring:
The app monitors your activity. If you continue to use the app, the timer resets and your entries remain in drafts.
- Automatic publishing:
If you don't log in to the app for a set period of time, the system assumes you can no longer do so. After this period expires, your entries are automatically published to the feed and/or sent to people of your choice.
- Shared feed:
All entries that have been published after the inactivity timer expires appear in the shared feed. This is a space where other users can read them.
