Comments about Zeapon Lab Android Version
While the app seems stable and is useful with my Zeapon Micro 2 slider it does suffer the need for refinements. The most glaring omission is the inability to set curves for the in and out points of the WayPoints [an excellent example of how this has been done right is the Syrp app for their Genie Mini II panning head]. As it is, the default acceleration and deceleration between starts and stops is far too abrupt and looks unnatural. The addition of selectable ease-in and ease-out values/curves would greatly enhance the quality of videos being shot by making the transitions smoother and more organic. The other issue is the stubbornness of some controls. For example, if you want to delete a waypoint it can 10 to 20 taps on a waypoint icon before you're finally asked if you really want to cancel/delete it. Overall the Zeapon Micro 2 slider is a great bit of kit for its price and deserves to see its app polished and refined.
This app works great for me! I use them zeapon pons pt on three video cameras at my church. As a solo cinematographer, I needed something to help me pan and tilt from a specific location. I think most people do not know that you should launch the app before turning on their zeapon to resolve any syncing issues. It saves me time from running from camera to establish a different shot.
Even though I granted all the permissions I get the following message and it won't let me use the app: "The current application lacks necessary permissions. Please click "Settings"-"Permissions" - to turn on the required permissions." The app won't open; can't use the gear which I'll have to return.
