Once the initial transfer information (sender/recipient/banking) has been set up, the process from start to finish is eye-blinkingly fast. The app is very intuitive; perhaps even smoother than the online process, and setting up the app after initially opening my account with TansferWise a few weeks ago was a breeze. Each time I use it it seems that the app is actually faster and more intuitive. ⬇️ Update: Authenticator pairing fails and has the potential to lock me out of my own account.
Recently, this app has been unreliable. My past 4 transfers have taken more than 3 business days which has made things very frustrating. It used to be instant, but now I know to plan a week ahead so I'm not late on a bill. It's extra frustrating when I have money in the process of transferring and a scheduled direct payment is due and Wise has the audacity to tell me I have insufficient funds.
Transferwise and Wise have been good in the past and very fair fx rates, but very frustrating experience to verify my account. Inefficient and conflicting emails and in app messages received and multiple requests for the same documents. I wish to transfer money to my own account to pay household bill that are due, and it's taking up a load of time and much frustration.
