The concept is great, but the app is far from working reliably. I'd say it needs another year or two in development. Android Auto road guidance is a joke, just a zoom-in on the map. App often hangs for a while, even on high-end phone. Lots of bugs. Update for v4.3.3. January 2023: still the same problems, plus some new ones. App crashes even more frequently, sometimes Android Auto display lags behind or shows different arrival time than phone screen. Very much still in beta state.
Updated: login fixed. Some things still work wonderfully, like finding a route and chargers along the route, and specifying a desired speed. Some small annoyances regarding UX still are there, like specifying parameters (speed, charge levels, etc) globally in the cog wheel menu instead of directly in the route plan. Developers seem to read feedback and address the issues, I hope soon it will be a 5 star app.
Painfully inaccurate. Even with reference consumption and degradation increased, HVAC off, and driving way slower than speed limit, I'm often arriving with less than estimated. Now limping home on a road trip with no heat in below freezing hoping not to get stranded. Also will suggest stations that just don't exist on plugshare, and when trying to avoid them will just reappear in the plan under a different name. UI is unintuitive and pressing back on your phone often just closes out of the app.
