I'd rate higher if it would actually remember where it left off in a song or playlist. It is so annoying to pause the app for an hour or so and then come back only to have a playlist start over at the beginning instead of resuming where it left off. I end up using the app far less than I otherwise would because of this poor design. It's literally the only audio app I use that does this, and I'm close to cancelling my subscription because of it. I expect far better from an Amazon product.
As a prime member, I thought I'd use the music app. To get more of a selection of music, I decided to buy unlimited music. That's great and all, but doesn't matter if I can't get the app to work properly. Several reasons why it just stops. First reason is the app advertise to switch to family plan. It stops the music as that advertising pops up. Secondly, it stops because it's saying the my downloads have failed. Stops the music and tens seconds later it starts playing again. It's horrible.
This is my third try with this app. They've updated it again, of course, and there's a whole new set of problems. It's cumbersome to find and add music. The shuffle function needs serious improvement. If I listen to 8 songs on a playlist, 6 of them will always be the same. The other 40+ I never hear, except maybe if I go on a really long drive. Lastly, the popups have gotten worse, and I have to dismiss them in order to get to the app screen. Totally unsafe when driving.
