Note: this is not free, but seems to be less expensive than most other VPNs. As of now, there is a 12 month option billed through google that comes out to $1.50/month. App is easy enough to use. It includes most features you would expect from a VPN (can enable for just specific apps, etc.) Most Importantly, it allows me to view my security cameras/doorbell while connected to my works guest WIFI, which they block for some reason. Google 1 wouldn't connect either, so now I am using this AVG VPN
EDIT 02-15-24: I did as you advised and cleared out all memory, then uninstalled/reinstalled app just to make sure. This seems to have worked so far. I'm going to give four stars now, because the update shouldn't have caused this! 02-06-24 update sucks... (1 star) Started receiving "your wi-fi network is being watched" messages when connected to my trusted network and the VPN is turning on. LOCATION PERMISSION SHOWS "ALLOW ALL THE TIME"!!! This did not happen prior to the update!!!
Very sporadic when attempting connection... Doesn't stay connected when it does, and will disconnect on its own without notice. I'm actually surprised I haven't been hacked as of yet! AVG consistently asks for ratings, and feedback which has been provided, but never received a reply to THIS issue!! it appears AVG presents a"New" feature to their software every few weeks, but I suggest they work out the bugs first, before moving onto the new stuff! Unfortunately, a (1/2) ⭐ isn't an option 😡
