It will not pair a Mini2 with my Pixel 7 Pro. The transceiver is detected via Bluetooth but then times out during the pairing process. I've tried multiple times. The transceiver should work fine for emergencies but the monthly service fee is too expensive for that limited functionality. I will be returning the device and buying a different brand.
Works but presets keep resetting. 2 out of 4 times using this app my presets have reset to default (which is sending messages to myself) and you need cell service to set them again. I've literally set my check-in presets before at night and when I headed out in the morning they were gone. Also if you receive any text messages it counts towards your total. I got a message of "k" and that was one gone. I feel like these flaws are intentional to make you waste messages/buy more expensive plans.
No matter what combination of wifi/data and device restarts, the app will not allow me to edit check in contacts due to a failure to sync. What a disappointment given the cost of an the inReach Mini 2 and recurring $25 a month plan. I'm not sure I can recommend the device while the app is so buggy.
