Clumsy interface. The prior UI highlighted certain stories that may have been of interest (e.g., 60 Minutes, 48 Hours, On the Road). The current UI does not. One must search for these stories. 10-13-23: Removing a star due to lack of a search function.
Since the latest update, 5.1, I'm finding the app to be much faster when loading and if I've opened a notification it takes me directly to the pertinent article which never happened before. A HUGE improvement in general, so credit where credit's due. I did mention a while back that I found it strange that the share option har been removed. It's now back, but not only that... Customer service alerted me to the fact. It's now 5 stars for not just the app, but also excellent response!👍
I use this app to read articles that pop up via notifications on my phone, but its functionality sucks for two reasons... 1) When I open a pop up article, then leave the app for any reason (accidentally or purposely), then return, the app instantly reloads back to the home page and I lose the article. It doesn't remember where I left off in the app. 2) When in an article, there's no way to share it from within the app. These seem like two basic functions that any news app should have.
