What a horrible experience with no luck and mass frustration. Got a new wireless charging pad HiFi music playing Belkin speaker. Won't connect. Can't get the option for it to connect. Somehow has its own wifi but it isn't able to be connected to either. Glad I just paid $100+ for an awesome speaker and I literally haven't been able to play music once. I'm done with Google products after this. Too many failed attempts with other products and not once has anyone offered to do anything, loyalty lol
I can't believe I own a whole ecosystem of these garbage products. I have a pixel 7 pro, the watch, and an old speaker I picked up from my parents. I didn't recall needing this app when I was last using it. But now my speaker is just a paperweight. "couldn't connect to your onkyo gc-x30". but i can't even use the speaker at all without setting up. absolutely useless, and i'm not going Google anymore.
Same terrible experience as others. Once the device was found, I turned on WiFi before starting the actual setup and then it connected. Such a crucial instruction missing from their setup wizard shows mind boggling incompetence by the programmers. And why is it still a problem after so many people reported it? Also, why is this even a separate app? Just build it into Home since that's where I started and ended my setup process.
